Gardening (Spring Session)
Tuesday & Thursday / 12:30 - 1:30 / 1st - 12th grade
Service Description
Get ready to dig in and welcome the growing season! This class is all about preparing the garden for a fresh start and learning how new life begins in the spring. From starting your first seeds to preparing beds for planting, students will discover the excitement of getting a garden ready to flourish. We’ll spend time outdoors getting our hands in the soil as we clear and prepare garden spaces, enrich the soil, and plan what we want to grow. Students will learn how to start and care for seedlings, practice proper watering techniques, and understand what young plants need in their earliest stages of growth. While we may not see many insects just yet or spend much time weeding, we will focus on creating healthy conditions that help plants thrive as the season progresses. We’ll also explore the garden area to observe early spring growth and learn to identify emerging plants. This class is all about laying the groundwork for a successful growing season and experiencing the wonder of watching new life take root.
