We believe learning should be as unique as the child. Rather than relying heavily on worksheets or rigid grade-level expectations, we focus on when children are ready to learn. Lessons are thoughtful, engaging, and designed to foster curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning — all within a Christ-centered environment.

Faith is woven naturally into every part of our day through prayer, Scripture, and conversations about character, gratitude, and truth. These rhythms guide our teaching, relationships, and classroom culture, helping students grow in their understanding of God’s Word and develop a strong identity rooted in Christ.

At Faith Mountain Academy, our preschool and Pre-K program for four-year-olds is intentionally designed to honor the developmental needs of young children. We believe early childhood is a sacred season for relationship-building, imagination, outdoor play, and the gentle formation of good habits—not long academic days. Young children learn best through short, meaningful lessons, living experiences, and plenty of time for unstructured play and rest. By offering two or three half-days each week, we are able to provide rich, engaging learning without overwhelming our youngest students or crowding out the essential work of childhood. This schedule also allows families to remain deeply involved in their child’s early years, supporting strong attachments at home while partnering with the school in a balanced way. Rather than replicating a full-day school model, we aim to protect childhood, nurture curiosity, and lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning. As Scripture reminds us, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens” (Ecclesiastes 3:1). We believe these early years are a precious season—one best approached with intention, simplicity, and care.

Faith Mountain Academy follows a Charlotte Mason-inspired approach, which emphasizes depth, understanding, and thoughtful engagement with ideas rather than strictly following public school grade-level standards. Our curriculum is designed to develop strong thinkers, confident communicators, and lifelong learners. Because of this approach, your child may not cover the same topics at the same pace as students in traditional public school classrooms. For families who require strict alignment with public school standards for testing or grade-level progression, our school may not be the best fit. However, for families who value meaningful learning, mastery of concepts, and intellectual growth, this approach provides a strong academic foundation that supports long-term success across subjects.
