Teaching Children to Know and Walk with God

Deuteronomy 6:6–7

“These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children…”

At Faith Mountain Academy, we believe parents are entrusted by God with the sacred responsibility of discipling their children. Our role is to partner with families in that calling by providing an educational environment where God’s Word shapes learning, relationships, and daily rhythms of life.

Scripture is not treated as a separate subject, but as the foundation for how we teach, guide, and form children. Through intentional instruction and consistent leadership, we seek to help children grow in wisdom, understanding, and faithful obedience to God.

Character Development:

Training Hearts and Habits

Proverbs 22:6

“Train up a child in the way he should go…”

Character formation at Faith Mountain Academy is approached with clarity, consistency, and grace. Teachers model Christlike character and establish clear, age-appropriate expectations for behavior, effort, and responsibility. Children are guided toward maturity through instruction, correction, encouragement, and repetition rooted in Biblical truth.

We intentionally cultivate habits such as:

  • Attention and self-control (Galatians 5:22–23)

  • Responsibility and perseverance (Colossians 3:23)

  • Kindness, respect, and humility (Philippians 2:3–4)

  • Stewardship of time and abilities (Luke 16:10)

Growth is not left to chance—it is formed through faithful teaching and steady guidance.

Bible Integration:

God’s Word at the Center of Daily Life

Psalm 119:105

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

At Faith Mountain Academy, Scripture shapes the daily rhythm of learning and life. Children engage with God’s Word through thoughtful instruction and guided application, learning not only what the Bible says, but how it informs faithful living.

Bible integration includes:

  • Scripture reading and narration (Deuteronomy 6:7)

  • Guided discussion and reflection (Proverbs 4:7)

  • Prayer and worship (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

  • Integration across subjects, recognizing God as the author of all truth (Colossians 1:16–17)

  • Living the Word, as children are guided to apply biblical principles in relationships, work, and responsibility (James 1:22)

Faith is intentionally taught, modeled, and reinforced—not left to interpretation or preference.

Educational
Purpose:

Our Goal

Colossians 1:28

“Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom…”

Our goal is to help children understand that God is the foundation of all truth and the guide for all of life. Through Scripture-anchored instruction and intentional formation, we seek to prepare students to grow in wisdom, character, and faithful obedience.

We desire children to leave Faith Mountain Academy not only with knowledge, but with hearts shaped by God’s Word and minds trained to think clearly, humbly, and purposefully.

Our Programs

Early Explorers | (age 4 only)

Time: 9:00 - 11:45

Our Pre-K program is designed with the unique needs of young children in mind. Rather than a full-day schedule, we offer a thoughtfully paced program that balances engaging learning experiences and creative play. Through stories, hands-on exploration, and creative experiences, children develop curiosity, joy, and a love of learning. Each child is nurtured as a whole person—mind, heart, and spirit—building a strong foundation for confidence, character, and a growing sense of identity in Christ. This is a place where little learners can flourish at a pace that is just right for them.

Kindergarten - 12th Grade

Children Planting Activity

Time: 8:30 - 2:30  |  Full Time (5 days/week)  or  Hybrid (3 days/week)

At Faith Mountain Academy, our K–12 program provides a Christ-centered education that nurtures each child at every stage of development.

In the early grades, students explore the world through hands-on learning, stories, and creative play, building curiosity, joy, and a love of learning. As they progress through elementary, they engage with more complex ideas, develop critical thinking skills, and cultivate character, creativity, and thoughtful habits.

Middle and high school students are challenged to think deeply, collaborate, and apply knowledge to real-world situations, while growing in leadership, independence, and a strong sense of purpose.

Across all grades, our goal is to guide children in discovering their unique gifts, engaging with God’s creation, and forming a vibrant faith and identity in Christ within a supportive and nurturing community.
